BIOGRAPHY

Tizoc starts his musical education at age 6 in Paris, France, with his mexican father who initiates him to traditional mariachi music. Two years later he enters the Conservatory of the 3rd district, in Paris with Maryvonne Lambert who instills in him the passion for classical guitar. At the age of 12 he enters the CRR of Paris with Ramon De Herrera with whom he obtains his DEMSP in 2010. He is then invited to study with the international renowned classical guitarist Alvaro Pierri, at the UQAM university in Montréal, Canada. In 2012 he is invited to pursue his musical education in the prestigious University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria under the guidance of the same mentor, Alvaro Pierri.

In 2007 he records his first CD compilation in Paris and in 2008 he takes part in the french Cinema production "48h par jour" in the role of a mariachi musician.
In June 2011 he creates with Raphaël Bereau the "R2T2 guitar duo" with whom he records his first CD duo in 2014 under the label Baros Records.


Tizoc has taken part and won several international competitions in duo and solo in countries such as France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Lichtenstein...

2017 being the 200 anniversary from the University of Music and performing arts in Vienna, he was selected to perform as a soloist in the « Concerto Iberico » concerto for 4 guitars and orchestra, in prestigious venues such as the Konzerthaus and the Museum Quartier of Vienna.

In November 2017, after the terrible heartquakes that hit mexico, he performed in duo with Raphaël Bereau as well in Trio with the group « Contrastes » in the Welt Museum during the « Dias de los Muertos » in order to collect funds to help the victims of these natural disaster. 

Very connected to his roots, in September 2016 he completes his first Indian tour in duo with Raphaël Bereau, performing several concerts all around India as well as giving masterclasses to help young Indian guitarist to better themselves as musicians. After the success of the first Indian tour, and other one is planned in August 2018, were once again several concerts and masterclasses are planned. He also takes part in humanitarian activies during this second tour, with « FOKE », an organisation keeping elder people off the streets, and were in duo with Raphaël Bereau, they give small private musical workshops to support the organisation. 

In June 2018 he was awarded a complete "Anny Felbermayer" scholarship among 77 participants in order to support his musical career. He was then selected as an "MDW artist" by his university,

who kindly produced an artist portrait about him. 

In December 2018 he completes a recording of traditional musical songs with his father soon to be released.

In 2019 he joined the "Le Conservatoire-Wien" intensifying his teaching activities in Vienna, and in January 2020 the "Amadeus international school" where he is currently teaching. 

Tizoc graduated with honors from the prestigious "University of music and performing arts" (MDW) in November 2021 and is now pursuing his musical career in Vienna and internationally.
